A Gator's Gaze

University Park, FL. 04/25/2020 Large Alligator at SP Pond. May and June is alligator mating season, in Florida, and it is not unusual to see gators testing the waters to prepare their breeding grounds. What IS unusual is to see an eight to ten foot alligator, early in the season, already marking its turf and claiming its territory in the large pond at Savannah Preserve. © Peter Monsees
